Miniature world is one of the oldest attractions in Europe. It is located at 649 Humboldt St, Victoria, BC V8W 1A7. It has been around since 1876, when French King Emmanuel ordered his court painter Gérard van der Heyde to create dioramas of famous scenes from Greek mythology. The Dutch artist came up with 13 detailed scenes depicting the legends next to lifelike classical statuary around each one. These miniaturized works are now known as miniature world.
How to visit miniature world?
The miniature world is open daily from 10am-6pm in February and March, then from 9am-5pm from April to November. It is closed the rest of the year.
