Victoria Bug Zoo

The Victoria Bug Zoo is a two-room mini zoo located at 631 Courtney St, Victoria, BC V8W 1B8. It’s one block north of the Fairmont Empress Hotel. The zoo was purchased by Xing Chen in 2014 and is now run by General Manager Jaymie Chudiak and Outreach Manager Karlee Friesen.

The zoo is a great place to educate children about insects and arachnids. There’s even a supervised handling area for more adventurous children. Entomologists are on hand to answer any questions visitors may have about the creatures they encounter. Throughout the day, there are new bugs to view, which keeps the exhibition interesting and fresh.

The Victoria Bug Zoo is a fun, family-friendly activity that’s open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission costs CA$12 for adults and CA$8 for children five to 17 years old. Children under four are free. It’s recommended that you plan your visit around these hours.

The Royal British Columbia Museum is another family-friendly place in Victoria. Its collections comprise seven million objects, including artifacts and natural history specimens. It has three permanent galleries dedicated to human and natural history. The museum is also home to the IMAX Victoria theater, which shows major motion pictures. The Royal BC Museum also has a number of other exhibitions that are geared towards children.

Another place to visit in Victoria is the Victoria Butterfly Gardens. This attraction is located just 30 minutes north of the city. There, you can see hundreds of different types of butterflies. The butterflies are beautiful, and you can get a close look at how these creatures live. There are also plenty of other creatures at the Victoria Butterfly Gardens, including koi fish, poison dart frogs, and parrots.

The Victoria Bug Zoo features more than 50 species of live bugs from all over the world. You can even visit Canada’s largest ant colony. In addition to the Victoria Bug Zoo, you can visit the Miniature World, which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in downtown Victoria. There are 85 miniature dioramas and one of the longest model railways.

Another great attraction in Victoria is the Bateman Centre. It’s located on the second floor of the historic 1924 neoclassical Steamship Terminal in Victoria’s Inner Harbour. This building also houses the Robert Bateman collection of paintings. This artist was a prominent naturalist and artist, and he made many paintings of insects, flowers, and other creatures.
